VISCOSITY GRADE BITUMEN

Viscosity Grade Bitumen shall be prepared by the distillation of suitable crude, petroleum oil without subsequent blending with other grades. The material shall be homogenous and shall not foam when heated to 175°C. No Mineral matter other than naturally contained in the material shall be present.

Paving Bitumen covers the physical and chemical requirements for use in Roads, Airfields and allied construction. Also, some of the grades may be used for industrial purposes.

This material used in the construction and maintenance of Roadways, Saturant for roofing felt, electrical cables for manufacturing Bitumen Emulsion, etc.
